Open Water Zones is a distance swimming event in anopen body of water. Events are divided by age group and gender. A clinic is provided to the athletes prior to the events. Qualifying times are an "A" time in a distance event. Current events are as follows:

11-12 2.5K
13-14  2.5K
Senior 5K

Travel

This is NOT a team travel meet. You will need to book your individual hotel rooms. The meet is hosted at the same location every year. There are hotels which attach to the pool via a sky walk. No meals are included in this swim meet.

Athlete Registration

You will need to sign your athlete up via the link provided on the SD Swimming website. There is a deadline - please pay close attention to this as if you miss the deadline, you will not be allowed to register.

Fees

The fee is currently $X. The fees include the following:

  • Meet Fees
  • Team Gear
    • ​A swimmer pack is included in the fees. This will include a variety of t-shirts, hoodies, long sleeves, caps and a swimsuit. You will need to update your child's sizes under their name upon registration.
